Belva L. Noland, 87, of Ellenboro, WV (Finch Community) departed this life on Sunday, October 1, 2017, at her residence, surrounded by her family.
Belva was born April 11, 1930 in Ritchie County, WV a daughter of the late Elbridge Homer “Skeet” Dilly and Belva (Darnold) Dilly. She spent her life as a loving homemaker for her family. She was a longtime member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church of Finch, WV and loved her church fellowship. Belva was a wonder quilter and greatly enjoyed making quilts for her family and quilting with her friends at church. She also enjoyed baking and was a graduate of West Union High School.
She is survived by her children, Victor B. Noland, Jr. (Cheryl) of Williamstown, WV; Richard Noland (Sandra) of St. Marys, WV, and Treva Dodson (Raymond) of St. Marys, WV; 8 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and her sister, Juanita Campbell of Parkersburg, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Blaine Noland in 1983 and her siblings, Frank A. Dilly, Helen Mae Dilly, Lettie Leota Maxwell, Marden “Jimmy” Dilly, and Edna Maxine Ford.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home in Pennsboro, WV with Rev. Mary Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Willow Island Cemetery of Willow Island, WV. Visitation will be from 4pm-8pm on Friday, at the funeral home and from 12pm-1pm on Saturday.
